Want to Start Your Own Beauty Line? Sephora Wants to Help

Want to Start Your Own Beauty Line? Sephora Wants to Help

They've started a program to help women break into the beauty industry!

Women have been fighting hard since... well, pretty much forever, for equality in the workplace. But shockingly, even in the beauty industry, there's still a very small amount of female founders.
Sephora wants to help change that, so they've created a training program called Sephora Accelerate to help women looking to start their own beauty companies. Corrie Conrad, head of social impact at Sephora, explained: "Even in the beauty industry, where most customers are women, female founders are still underrepresented. We see a unique opportunity to draw from our history of working with entrepreneurs to build a supportive community for early-stage female founders."
Accelerate begins with a week-long boot camp. Founders will get help creating their business model and growth plan, and will work on their market analysis and funding strategy. Sephora will also help founders design their products and introduce them to a mentor from the industry. Chosen founders will be given $2,500 and are also eligible for extra funding.
So if you've got a life-changing beauty idea, this program could be the beginning of a beauty-full future!
